Government Medical College Srinagar Recruitment 2024 for 85 Medical Officers
The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar has invited applications for 85 posts of Medical Officers on an academic arrangement basis. The positions are available for candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Eligibility Criteria
- MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission.
- Registration with the Medical Council of Jammu and Kashmir or the National Medical Council.
- Maximum age of 50 years.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a written test. The benchmark for selection is 40% marks and above.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official website of GMC Srinagar https://www.gmcs.ac.in/ from March 6, 2024. The last date for submission of applications is March 16, 2024.

Other Terms and Conditions
- The engagement will be for a period of one year or till the posts are filled up by the competent authority, whichever is earlier.
- The selected candidates will have to enter into an agreement with GMC Srinagar and will not be able to leave the job before the completion of one year’s contract.
- Candidates who are currently working in other government medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir will have to obtain a NOC from their respective colleges before applying.
